I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and truly there is nowhere else in the world as unique and with as rich a cultural center as this great borough. Don’t let the hype of it being “dangerous” scare you! If you were to come to New York, as someone that has never been here, you more than likely won’t venture outside of Manhattan island. For the adventurous, there’s plenty to explore. You’ve got amazing food — Caribbean goodies, amazing Italian food, chic fusion places in Greenpoint… just to name a few. Incredible views are easy to get to, like the Brooklyn Promenade, with awesome views of the Manhattan skyline. Don’t sell Brooklyn too short. Grow a pair (or borrow them) and head down on the train to the borough that kicks much butt.
